“On the occasion of Tatlises’ arrival in Erbil”
In the social sciences; (Case) is the powerful and outcome of a phenomenon, that is, when a case is repeated many times. Thus we are confronted with a phenomenon, nevertheless the repetition of a case and finding its manifestations is not reached easily, for example, if we have seen violence against women in a society and have described it as a phenomenon whilst violence against men realized as a case, we must not be deceived by these discourses and theorizations and ignore the possibility of other facts. In fact, the humanities’ sciences are waiting for signs to appear while they are not new, in order to change perspectives to a social or political or psychological subject or add a new viewpoint. That is, what we realize as violence against men in a society does not necessarily have to be the case, but we must take into account the social level, circumstances, the values and definitions of men. A man for many social reasons, including defending his masculine reputation, society’s words etc. would not talk about many things.
When we say violence against men, we do not necessarily mean that it is committed by women or their wives, but it can include any kind of violence in the social structure, especially in the Structure of political power. I have given this quick discussion as an example to further illustrate the complexity of identifying cases and phenomena in the social sciences.
What makes a nation with all these spiritual treasures of art, knowledge and aesthetics fall under the influence of cultures such as Persian, Turkish and Arab?
One point to note; welcoming a mass of 100 or 200 people in Erbil to Ibrahim Tatlises, a Kurdish origin who is in servant of Turkish, does not mean that we appreciate the immensity of the great men, women, artists, writers and others. No, but this visit of Tatlises is more an excuse to overcome the hegemony that the surrounding cultures and our invaders want to impose on us, such as I would see that the visit of Tatlises does not have impacts on us than the dominance of Arabic in some parts of Erbil.
Despite all the Kurdish understanding and awareness in the south, there is a plan to destroy hegemony of the occupying culture, especially by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and unfortunately it has created a very negative impact in Sulaimani either Duhok or Halabja has a fascist plan. It is selfish and requires more awareness, understanding and education of Kurdish society.
