Nowadays one of most desirable social dimensions of human life is use gender in “children”, which has become more common in recent decades. Following development of international exchanges, being globalizing poverty, emigration, media growing, and increasing use of gender in “children” have become one of the most interesting skills of adults.
By looking at lives of prostitutes in countries such as Thailand, the United States, and Iran, we can see spread of poverty and unemployment, lack of well education system, lack of inappropriate law, lack of proper legal support for children and citizens, and ultimately role of media in misleading children are considered as main causes of prostitution. In addition, the growth of capitalist system has taken crucial roles in rising crimes against children.
According to a study, many of the children who were enslaved were from marginalized areas such as national minorities, local children and children who were living in poverty circumstances. Indeed, poverty, discrimination, lack of a peaceful environment and war will lead to violations of the rights of the children.
Procedures to Protect Children against Slavery
In addition to the fact that states are encouraged to implement the laws, there are some other points we should consider besides legal benefits, and in fact, without providing a suitable link to children’s rights, as well as cultural infrastructure for adoption the law will not be useful. Therefore, states along with providing legal procedures should try to find and return victims to society and put them under the legal umbrella.
Two procedures addressed to prevent and control children slavery:
1. Legal procedure: international evidence approved by states, most of them have accomplished content. It means that in all member countries, they have ability to implement the procedures. But there are also some other international laws which states must work on and approve in their own parliaments.
2. Finding and returning victims: caring about victims of gender slavery, especially after suffering psychological and physical loss, the importance thing is providing their needs. According to Palermo Agreement and Article 257 of the Contract, states must take measures to return personalities to their victims and compensate them in the field of home.
