Humans have tried every single technique to find their ancestors and determine their ancestry, in addition to religion and the sources of ancient civilizations and many other scientific subjects are engaged in this subject, such as archaeology, ethnology, biology and DNA analysis, Geology and Linguistics. However, there are many mythological and genetic ideas and different interpretations of the origin, development and formation of humans and nations. Each people have its own traditions or traces its roots back to ancestors it considers its own. Up to now some are looking for their national identity and want to know where they came from, so many hypotheses, theories and ideas have been invented, including the theory of Aryan, Indo-European, yellow, Atlantic genders and other types of peoples of the world.
This discussion has become a place of reflection and work for most nations to find the truth of the matter, for us “Kurds” need more explanation and more interpretation and analysis, because the Kurds are facing a continuous erasing by Arab, Turkish and Persian chauvinism due to a fact that the Kurds have no state. These foreign invaders want to erase the Kurds and make their land, language, people, culture and civilization their own. Therefore, the stage is very complicated and difficult for Kurdish researchers. Therefore, one of the main problems facing research on Kurdish origins and Kurdish language is the existence of many different concepts, terms and words in ancient history.
Indo-Europeans
In the shortest definition, we can say; these people (Indo-Europeans) are people and tribes who are closely related in terms of language. They began a wave of migration from the north or east to the ancient east in Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Syria. As the orientalist Sir Leonard Woolly says; (These people were originally from southern Russia. They left their homeland due to unknown problems. They moved to their eastern and western regions through the Caucasus due to searching for a better and more suitable place for a better and more peaceful life. They were accompanied by children, animals, forces, soldiers and horsemen. They were known as the migration of Indo-European tribes.
The most important branches of Indo-Europeans were:-
First: – Kasi – Kasi first came under the rule of Akkad, then settled in Babylon and took power. They had about ruled five centuries.
Second, the Mitannians came toward south and west, followed by another wave such as Persia and others went to Baluchistan and India in 1500 BC.
According to these statements, the migration of these people occurred at a time when all the principles of civilization and nation were fully established in Kurdistan, such as ethnic roots and language. As it is said, the Median civilization was built on the foundation of the Mannaean civilization, and the Achaemenid civilization was built on the foundations of the Median civilization.
