Advertising is one of the sciences and modern arts. None of businessman, farmer, decision maker or interest can give up due to dominance of goods over the consumer. They were not stopping amid number of characteristics of products and services, hence advertising appear. Today, advertising is very versatile. How? It is because it takes the role of mediation between the consumer and the producer. Technology has crept into the subject and uses all its factors to make consumers believe and use a product or service. Finally, we can say that advertising is an art that deceives people and makes them believe that they insist on using a certain product and service.

Advertising is part of economic activity in the arenas of industry, commerce and services. Similarly, non-profit organizations and charities are not excluded from advertising.
The Egyptians used stone leaves, which a strong aquatic plant 4 to 5 meters high, were used to attach to walls. The same leaves were used to search for missing persons in Greece and Rome, as evidenced by excavations dating back to 4,000 BC.
The importance of commercial advertising
Throughout history, the importance of advertising has been focused on convincing customers to use a particular product or service, and has caused customers not to look at just one product or service. However, within the progress of life and technology, the importance of advertising has changed. It is not only advertising in shops, warehouses and different places of buying and selling, it has even passed on newspapers, magazines, radio and television organizations, because advertising conveys ideas, meanings and information to people, especially if the subject is marketing.

Technology has been involved in the speeding up and distribution of advertising in all its forms, as well as in the design and determination of its dimensions such as text, images, selection and combination colors, etc. In 2018, $155 billion cost was spent through mobile advertising, and in 2022 the figure will rise to $336 billion.
Advertising features through technology to display advertisements and frequency for twenty-four hours a week “24/7”, while being able to reach as many people and distant places. In Kurdistan, advertising for various goods and services is done daily through social networks and websites, and the range of markets and customers is constantly expanding, but advertising in South Kurdistan has not become an industry like many other places in the world.
