A Kurdish land is regularly lands of coexistence and shelter for displaced people. Regards to his nature, Kurds are not disappointed anyone who asked for help and sheltering.
We have seen that most of the religious has its followers in Kurdistan and their shrines remains preserved, their followers are original Kurds. This approves the reality of whenever in the region tyranny happened against any religions; they came to Kurdistan and looked for safe place in it.
One of them is Jews religions who are following Musa prophet (Peace be Upon Him). This religion is one of Kurdish religion which for more than hundred years they stayed in Kurdistan peacefully with other religion’s followers.
History of Kurdish Jews
But unfortunately, after Arab leaders started to spread spirit of chaos and hypocrite among region’s nations and drove out Jews’ followers in their countries, Kurdish Jews were include in this process and compulsorily fled from Kurdistan into Israel.
The beginning of this process in Southern Kurdistan started in 1952, which Kurdish Jews had obliged to leave Kurdistan to Israel.
There are several historical narrations, which demonstrated on history of Kurdish Jews. Some historical sources referred the origin of Kurdish Jews to Ten sons of Yaqub Prophet. This history belongs to 800A.D. That means before Med Power which Jews for behalf of protecting themselves under oppressing power of that time were looked to shelter in Iraqi Kurdistan.
However, some other sources emphasis that at the mid of Med power, they came to Iraqi Kurdistan.
In every cases, the whole of historical evidences approved that the history of Jews in Iraqi Kurdistan has ancient and thousand years. There are not conflicts amid this religion followers with other religion’s follower along with this long history which was lead to fights and Hypocrisies.
Along with the history of Jews in Kurdistan, the entire of Jew’s follower kept their religious habits and Kurdish citizens had participated at most of their occasions and expressed their congratulation to them.
