On December 13, 2023, the head and Executive Staff of Chawy Kurd Center for Political Development visited the Korean Consulate in Erbil, where they were welcomed by Mr. Cho Kijon, Consul General of Korea in the Kurdistan Region.
In a friendly meeting, Chawy Kurd Center congratulated the new Korean Consul General in the Kurdistan Region and emphasized on the coordination between the consulate and civil society institutions in the field of culture, humanitarian work and cultural activities and serving the citizens and developing the diplomacy of nations.
Furthermore, in the meeting, the Consul General of Korea in Kurdistan, despite welcoming the Chawy Kurd Center, expressed his readiness and pleasure to support cultural coordination and development of relations between nations and diplomacy. Moreover, he focused on the importance of the role of civil society organizations and institutions to stabilize democracy and human rights.
At the end of the meeting, the publications of the Chawy Kurd Center were presented to the Korean Consulate in the Kurdistan Region
