The formation of the tenth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is the result of the sixth session of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) parliamentary elections held on October 20, 2024, in which several parties and ethnic and religious communities won seats. Currently we are on the verge of forming a new government; there are many obstacles that have delayed the formation of the tenth cabinet. What are the most obvious obstacles to the formation of the tenth cabinet? Therefore, the existence of the government and the formation of the cabinet is an important requirement of governance and are directly related to the political and economic life of individuals in society.
On the contrary, the failure to form and delay at the normal deadlines is a bad and unhealthy culture, which leads to further distrust between citizens and the authorities. - Internal discord and conflict: – Discord and conflict between the political parties in this region is at a stage that has caused the Kurdish society to divide them and make one front against another.
- Disregard for the highest national interest: In all consensus systems in the world, where a single force cannot form a government alone, the condition for the success of an agreement between the forces is a very high sense of national responsibility.
- Lack of consensus: All political and national issues in the world and among all nations are a decisive process and depend on the future of all individuals. Therefore, it needs a national consensus to succeed.
- External intervention: – We understand that the Kurdistan Region is under the influence of regional and international countries and has become the arena of their intervention.
- Weakness of the pillars of democracy in our society: The weak will of the political leadership of the parties and our society in general to accept democracy as an appropriate form of governance, has led to a kind of indifference among the rulers and political leaders towards citizens.
Tenth Cabinet overwhelms ways to form the new cabinet
- We believe that for the agreement between the parties to be successful, the highest interests and goals of the country and citizens must be within the framework of the agreements.
- Unity and resolution of internal conflicts among the political parties in the region is important at this stage, because the region is facing a number of new political changes; The Kurds can only face the threats and reap the opportunities through unity, solidarity, solidarity and discourse.
- The will of the individual and the Kurdish voters must be put before the will of the party, so that trust between the citizens and the authorities can finally be restored.
- External interference in the political process of the Kurdistan Region must be limited.
