March 8 can be a decent occasion for Kurds to draw the attention of a large part of society, including men and women to issues related to women such as the history, reasons and circumstances of naming this day. What I want to say here is to criticize a culture that dominates women in all areas, especially the economy and power. It does not see women independently, but she has seen mostly in terms of her body which it is a culture of masculinity.
When our women gradually entered the society, social networks and employment after the uprising, they took the first step towards economic independence and achieving a kind of individual self-sufficiency, but because all aspects of labor and the market were under control of Men, thus this step has not easily thrown without a backlash and it is not clear whether it will be placed on soft ground or whether a hard region waiting for them.
Women’s Identity and Personality
Human identity is built and elevated on the basis of human personality. That is, a healthy personality can take great steps towards a gorgeous human identity. A healthy personality and spoiled may never move towards a bright and high identity. Identity is therefore a multidimensional concept and term used as a common concept in most humanities, including philosophy, psychology, sociology and literature, but above all in the field of education it is shaped in social forms, that is, character and personality through family upbringing and takes shape from society. In fact, child education within the family system and society follows certain values, and the imposition of these values itself becomes the basis for confusion and unhealthy development of children, in underdeveloped and traditional societies is a social value and sacred religious values always take away people’s right to free choice. Obviously, due to the current economic situation and the role women want to define for their identity and strength as part of the labor force, it is normal for women to look for work and find suitable work.
However, in most of the places that have visited for job opportunities, the main requirement for any job, whether it is accounting for a small company or an ordinary shop or washing dishes, has been beauty. It is not the person who is beautiful in appearance, but the meaning of beauty and in the eyes of these groups of personalities is sexuality, which in itself imposes the requirement of short and half-naked clothes. Although I believe that both wearing the hijab and being half-naked are two human choices and I have no problem with either, when you are forced to choose one, it is an exclusion of the will from the circle of freedom. This sexist view of a woman’s personality convinces her that she is nothing but a body to serve men’s sexual desires and attraction. This view is killing the beauty, dignity and infinite world of women, it violates motherhood, womanhood, sisterhood, humanity and all these things that should be a healthy foundation for building a woman’s personality and accordingly her human identity.
I hope that our society will instill enough educational and moral awareness in the educational process to see women’s personalities, identities and bodies not from a religious perspective but from a human perspective and that every man will understand that women are not only meat-eater for his intentions and desires, but a person who can talk about children and society, education, flowers, nature, wine, poetry, God and Satan.! Kurdish identity will never achieve its dreams and goals without the development of women’s identity. Let men respect the general goals of our nation by respecting this character and identity and see the world bigger and above physical pleasure!
