Within arguing state security, it is mostly concentrated in a special ministry, the Ministry of Interior, or any state agency that is responsible for protecting the security file, whether it is a ministry or another agency designated by the state. It can be said that the issue of security is one of the most sensitive foundations on which the modern state is built. This is not just a system of measures to protect the public security system, but includes several comprehensive concepts in which politics, law, administration, economy and society, all interconnected in the security issue to ensure state stability and ability to protect the highest interests. The Ministry of Interior, as the main executive agency involved in security affairs, bears broad responsibility for managing this file, alongside supporting other institutions and bodies whose roles are within a unified national security vision. Therefore, it is very important for everyone to know the importance of the state security issue, which includes the fate of citizens living in this political geographical framework.
First; Nature and Dimensions of Security Issues
When the term “security issue” is used, it refers to the set of policies, plans and measures that the state takes to maintain its internal stability and sovereignty in order to protect citizens and their infrastructure from external and internal threats facing the state. Security is viewed here as a complex and interconnected concept that goes beyond traditional security to include multiple dimensions, these include:-
1- Political Security: Ensuring the stability of the political system and preventing internal and external threats that may lead to the loss of legitimacy of the state and the dissolution or tensions and conflicts.
2- Social Security: Preventing the division of social relations and the creation or emergence of internal violence between individuals and people in society, which ultimately through social security to solve the root causes of crimes in society and then through social security to ensure social unity.
3- Economic security: Protecting economic resources and infrastructure and preventing economic misuse that affects the stability of the state in the event of misuse of these resources and preventing corruption in the use of natural resources in the economic infrastructure.
4 – Cyber Security: – Protecting the digital space from cyber-attacks and violence that has become a major threat to destroy all sectors of the state and society and increase crime and even affect the economic and financial situation of the state.
5- Intellectual and cultural security: Combating extremism, inciting violence, racism, regionalism, propaganda and systematic campaigns against the state.
6- Border security: – Monitoring the borders and preventing smuggling and leakage of domestic wealth, revenue and products and unplanned imports to destroy the domestic economy, which is only one side of border security, another side of military and security. In this sense, then, security files are not an isolated technical sector, but a comprehensive system that depends on the survival and development of the state.
